Nanostray developer confirms Nintendo WiiWare project
Shin’en Multimeda, the German development team behind the likes of space shooters Iridion 3D and Iridion II on Game Boy Advance, as well as Nanostray and its sequel on Nintendo DS, has today confirmed that its first ever game for Nintendo’s WiiWare download service will be…nothing even remotely like a space shooting title! Yes, rather than start out with what fans were desperate for, the team has devised something a little different from the norm.
As stated in the extraordinarily short Press Release sent out this morning, “Fun! Fun! Minigolf is a single- and multiplayer minigolf game. It takes full advantage of the unique Wii features. The game features twenty-seven holes spread across America, Asia and Europe and is classed as being ’suited for all age groups’.” That is it, simple as that. No other details have been released just yet, but hopefully the game will include some sort of online Wi-Fi content like Nanostray 2’s extensive features. The outfit are renowned for creating some stellar games, but wedging a few cheap-to-develop projects in-between in order to garner more money to store in their coffers.
Until more details arise, though, judgement will be reserved. Readers, however, are welcomed to vent their frustrations at the lack of a Nanostray Wii by posting below…
