Many hands-on impressions of BioWare’s Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood highlighted the upcoming RPG’s lethargic battle sequences, almost a complete antithesis to what we expect of the famous hedgehog and his friends. Still, we’re keeping faith for now, as SEGA has confirmed when exactly game will arrive in Europe - on September 26.

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood takes place a couple of years after Dr. Eggman was last foiled by his arch rival, and begins when Sonic’s faithful accomplice Tails brings news that Knuckles has been kidnapped by a mysterious group going by the name of the Marauders. Sounds like reason to set off on a quest to find her, don’t you think?

If BioWare’s efforts are anything as entertaining as, say, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time - along those sorts of lines - we’ll be more than happy.
