Nintendo: No plans to sell movies or other content via Wii
With Sony and Microsoft already well on their way to building the foundations and developing their plans for online business dealings, the obvious question had to be would Nintendo be willing to follow suit. The answer seems to have been given now, though.
In an in-depth interview with German website ‘Spiegel’ Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s President, was asked if Nintendo was definitely going to be going down the same route as its competitors.
Spiegel ONLINE: Microsoft and Sony have plans to do its on-line business. Both sell movies on their consoles. Is there behind Nintendo?
Satoru Iwata, President of Nintendo: No, we do not plan, films or similar online for sale, that is not our business. We are a video game company, we do not have the infrastructure, a huge online service up. There are on-line elements in our games, but only if the the game even more intense experience. Then sell it more and more games consoles, because customers are satisfied.
But do you feel that Nintendo should start to explore such avenues in order to keep up with the competition? Be sure to share your thoughts on the matter by posting below…

No, add-on content is one thing but movies and that other bull shit is not needed. I like to keep that type of content on my PC not on my Video Game systems. Key words “Video Game”
On another note. Fuck M$ and the iPod fall update that they have for the 360. The first update that I will not download.
your a moron then
tony, can’t you do anything other than trolling? as for movies/music, I agree with raziel, in that console makers should focus on games.
i aint trolling he said fuck M$ and the ipod fall update and he wont download, being a goon
So what if someone doesn’t download something dumb ass fanboy.
And i agree there is no reason to sale things like that on a video game console if you need to just sit in your house and download shit then you have absolutely no life.
