While it looked as if the now bogus-looking We Move: Pain vs Pleasure looked like being the first WiiWare title to work with the Wii Balance Board, its falling to the wayside leaves the way open for Hudson Soft. The firm has been hinting at the idea for a while, but has now confirmed that Tetris Party will support the accessory, and arrive this autumn.

Tetris Party’s official website doesn’t tell us much in detail, but we do know that the downloadable title will include a monstrous 18 modes of the famous block puzzler, eight of which are brand new. One of these happens to be a mode specifically made for the Balance Board, in which we presume players will shift their weight left and right to nudge and twsit Tetrominoes as they fall.
