The Nintendo DS camera that came packaged with Face Training in Japan hasn’t really been utilised (at least not to our knowledge) outside that game, but now SEGA has announced that it plans to change all that with Project Beauty. As you can guess, it’s another ‘lifestyle’ piece of software for the portable, this time concerned with prettying yourself up.
As far as we can tell, players use the Nintendo DS’ camera (attached via the Game Boy Advance slot) to capture an image of their mug, then use Project Beauty to Photoshop their appearance with all sorts of make-up. It’s all about experimentation and fun with lippy, mascara, blusher, and whatever other make-up essentials the modern woman needs., which we can certainly see an audience for.
Will it come to the West? Hm, we’ll just have to wait and see.
