Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune spied for Wii

If you’ve seen that film documentary made by Pixar and Disney, Toy Story, you’ll know that the little playthings get up to rather a lot more than sitting still when their owner isn’t around. If you’ve ever wanted in on the action and adventure of the world of toys, then Army Men: Solider of Misfortune gives you that chance via your Nintendo Wii.

In Army Men: SOM take on the role of Timmy as he battles alongside the “Green Brigade” against the “Tan Strike Force” to prevent them from taking over the house. Timmy imagines himself as being just three inches high to do this, and must complete every mission in the game if he is to stop the Tan Strike Force from achieving global… um, home domination.

  • Choose from many different weapons such as dart gun, squirt gun, tennis ball grenade and use a bowling bowl to take out large enemies like tanks.
  • Missions take place in various environments around the house
  • Seek cover behind Lego blocks, stuffed animals, a shoe, etc..
  • Use weapons efficiently - such as using the dart gun to hit an unreachable switch or lobbing a grenade over a toy fire truck

Army Men: SOM is released this September.

Is this the same Army Men franchise that 3DO rubbed into the ground years ago? Or is it a reimagining of the franchise?

No it’s not the same Army Men game that 3DO had made. It is re-imagining though on some parts, but not all… Seems exhilarating>.

I don’t know about you people but i’m going to hate this. It ruins the Army Men series and turns the whole thing cartoonish and I thought army men major malfunction was bad after killing sarge off.

I loved Army Men by 3D0 but this looks as if its ruining it just like Major Malfunction killed it

Well acctualy if someone makes a new Army men sarge’s heros game they could have a cut scene of sarge dreaming of being killed in major malfunction. That way Major Malfunction never existed. Then Sarge looks for the plastic molds of Bravo company and brings them all back to life. You get a new game right there.
