Back in July this year, Shin’en Multimedia (them what did the likes of Iridion and Nanostray) announced that they were going to have a crack at mini-golf for WiiWare. No details have been released yet, but the first screenshots have, and they give us a good idea of what we can expect.

IGN are the site with the visual scoop, and as you can see, Fun! Fun! Mini-Golf is a bright and breezy affair, set on a crazy golf course that looks to be in the grounds of some hotel and a Japanese-themed garden (or, at least two of the courses are…naturally we’re hoping there will be others).

Of course, you’ll be able to choose from a variety of generic, but painfully “cool” characters (probably with names like Brad, Chad, Jen and Paris) to play with. Miis would have been nice, but we hear Nintendo picks and chooses carefully who it wants to lend that particularly property out to.

So, not a lot to go on yet… but it isn’t looking too bad at all, with tidy character models and some pretty backgrounds. We’ll bring you more as soon as we get it.

Just after we’d posted the original story an’ all… the following details for Fun! Fun! Mini-Golf have emerged courtesy of WiiWare-World:

• 1-4 Players.
• -Fun! Fun! features Golf courses in America, Europe and Asia.
• There are 27 different holes to play.
• We expect to release the game very soon on Wii Ware.
• We will announce the release date in the next weeks.
• It will be released in Europe and the US
• The game runs fully at 60fps (NTSC) or 50fps (PAL).
  The game does support 16:9 and 4:3 TV screens.
