Warner Bros Interactive has today confirmed that LEGO Batman: The Videogame will be flapping onto European shores on October 10, giving fans of the caped crusader the chance to lead him through Gotham City as they’ve never seen it before - mostly a lot, lot blockier.

You could hardly blame developer Traveller’s Tales if they were feeling confident about the potential success of this one, what with the recent The Dark Knight film being hailed by many as a masterpiece, as well as having the strong reputation of previous LEGO efforts Star Wars and Indiana Jones to rely on.

“The reaction has been very positive from retailers and consumers,” Traveller’s Tales product manager Richard Earl told MCV. “This is the best LEGO game that we’ve made so far and it seems retailers and consumers agree with us.”

“We are backing it with marketing and we definitely hope it will be one of the top titles for the Christmas period. The hero and the villain modes are great, and we think it’s going to be lots of fun for consumers,” Earl added.
