Blazing Angels (Wii) to have online capability?
According to rumours currently bouncing about the mighty Internet following the appearance of a Wi-Fi logo on an IGN placeholder box, Ubisoft’s much anticipated Wii version of Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII (previously released for the Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC) is being touted as a single-player and ‘online’ experience. Yet, while the Wii is expected to better embrace the wide-ranging capabilities proffered by the extensive advantages of online play – later in the year – is there really any credence to this particular Chinese whisper?
Well, the chaps over at NintendoWiiFanboy.com certainly seem to think so. The site claims that online development kits were dispatched for Blazing Angels, and any subsequent delay in the game’s release could well only be fuelling the waves of speculation concerning the appearance of online dogfights to embellish the single-player WWII action.

Furthermore, Nintendo of America’s head honcho, Reggie Fils-Aime has previously stated that the Wii would be stepping up in the online stakes during 2007’s second quarter, and with Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII presently slated for release on March 30th, it might not be so farfetched to suggest that online functionality could arrive a little earlier than Fils-Aime first suggested, and that the delay of Blazing Angels’ arrival on the Wii (it was supposed to be included as a launch title) is in fact linked to the implementation of online multiplayer.
From Nintendic’s point of view, we’d suggest you absorb the above with a healthy pinch of cautionary salt – for want of avoiding any undue disappointment – while craftily crossing your collective fingers, eyes, and toes that online play and Wii Remote control do indeed combine to magnify the appeal of the Wii version of Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII – which received a somewhat lukewarm critical reception when first released across other formats.

It a load of garbage. How do I know so…well here’s the facts:
1) Nintendo have told 3rd party developers they will not get the online dev kit until 2008. Thats a fact, so its impossible for Ubisoft to make an online game for the Wii until 2008.
2) Ubisofts website says so. The 360 can have 20 online multiplayers and the PS3 can have up to 16 online. The Wii can have a big fat zero because its not gonna happen.
What more proof do people need
Ok so you may have a point but u dont have to be such a pompus jackass. I dont no why but the way you have written your point has really annoyed me (and i was pretty sceptical about this to)
The post cleary states that it’s based on rumour, and it also implies considerable scepticism. I’m not as stupid as you may believe.
Third party developers started getting online development kits early this year. Check this article if you don’t believe me:

So, while I agree that this is unlikely to happen, it doesn’t mean it’s not possible. It would certainly help sales.
Spong said that the kits weren’t going out until 2008. Spong is particularly well-known for making up information completely
Does it matter?
Blazing Angels is shit, end of.
your a fagot, Blazing angels is the shit. Great game
I have a friend that programs in EA Salt Lake and I asked him about the online stuff and why Tiger Woods Golf wasn’t going to be online. He said “We just barely received our online SDK about a month ago, so it was too late for Tiger Woods Golf”. He programs there, so he’d know.
Blazing Angels looks good does it not?
the game is rockstar quality, as for the controls, everything seems to work fine for me. The only thing is I wish it could be first person view as well
