Need For Speed title to be announced soon

EA has released a teaser trailer for a new officially unannounced Need for Speed title on the NFS: Carbon website. However, it probably doesn’t have much to do with Carbon because it’s showcasing a badly damaged, yet patched up car crashing into the sides of the track.

More information about this game will be revealed in 10 days according to the timer on the website. We expect a full press release announcing the next iteration in the Need for Speed series when the said timer reaches zero. To watch the teaser trailer simply head to this website where you can either watch the flash player or download a 720P high resolution version.

It seems that they’re heading into a new direction with the Need for Speed series again which means it’s unlikely to expect a direct sequel to one of the many paths the series has chosen over the last 5 years. A release date hasn’t been set yet but it’s likely that the game will hit the shelves somewhere later this year. The platforms on which the game will be released haven’t been announced either but it’s safe to assume the game will come out on all the major players, meaning Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
