Konami reveals exclusive for Nintendo DS
Konami is renowned around the world for its Metal Gear Solid and Pro Evolution Soccer franchises. But now the company has just revealed it is working on something completely different for Nintendo’s DS.
Sadly, though, Konami is taking the ‘non-game’ route in an effort to cash-in on the huge success had by Nintendo with the Brain Training games, Big Brain Academy and English Training. Taking things a few steps further than Nintendo, the Japanese developer is planning on bringing a skincare guide to the immensely popular dual-screened portable platform. The product is being aimed at the lucrative female market with beauty tips being given to people depending on the user’s basal body temperature and hormone balance.
Konami has stated that by marking a target date such as a wedding in the software, DS users can get customised, daily skincare instructions in the run-up to the big day.
“We have developed the software under the concept of getting pretty while having fun.”
- Konami Digital Entertainment Corporate Officer Naoyuki Notsu.
18th October, 2007 is the date the skincare software is set to hit Japan and it will come at the reasonable price of 4,500 yen (roughly £18). Whether or not Konami will see fit to release this in the Western world is currently unknown.
