Alvin and the Chipmunks to rock Wii and DS
A videogame based on the children’s musical of the cartoon, Alvin and the Chipmunks, has been announced for release on the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS this Christmas.
In what sounds just like a Guitar Hero/Rock Band clone, the Alvin and the Chipmunks videogame follows Alvin, Simon & Theodore on their latest mission to play during the battle of the bands event, “Rockathonapalooza.” Developer Brash Entertainment boasts that the game creates a brand new way to expand on the experience of the movie.
“This holiday, Alvin, Simon and Theodore have been entirely redesigned with a bold new look for the launch of their first live action film and video game debut,” said Ross Bagdasarian, CEO of Bagdasarian Productions.
The game’s soundtrack will feature rock and pop hits spanning the past few decades. Each song is sung in the Chipmunk’s style giving it a “unique” sound. Some of more of the 40 songs on offer include:
- All The Small Things - Blink 182
- It’s Tricky - Run DMC
- Heartbreak Hotel - Elvis Presley
- All Star - Smashmouth
- Shiny Happy People - REM
Alvin and the Chipmunks will launch on December 04, 2007.
Whose idea was this?!
