Wii Achievements hidden in Metroid Prime 3?
Achievement points have taken off in a way that nobody could have expected on the Microsoft Xbox 360, extending the lifespan of many a title far beyond its main game. The Sony PlayStation 3 followed its competitor’s leads, but Nintendo has yet to jump on the bandwagon - or has it? One GameFAQs member thinks so.
The gamer managed to snag a play on the upcoming Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and noted that it features a “mini-achievement” system that awarded him/her with different coloured tokens for completing set tasks.
Red tokens were awarded for scanning enemies and items, blue for acquiring new information and successfully finishing side missions, and gold tokens for overcoming bosses. Said tokens can then be used to unlock bonus content via an Extras menu.
The GameFAQs user notes one example in which saving the lives of a pair of GF troopers earned him/her a blue token, conformation of which pops up at the top of the screen.
Perhaps the most intriguing of this new information is the “friends voucher,” which can be sent to players in your Wii’s address book to unlock hidden content for both you and your buddies.
Possibility of this system being built into other titles? Probably quite high.

Please do. I want Fire Emblem 10 with achievements.
