Nintendo to distribute Zack & Wiki in Europe
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure is heading for Europe on December 7th this year and now Nintendo of Europe have announced that whilst Capcom will be publishing the game, they will be distributing it in European territories.
The game is being dubbed ‘a quirky and innovative title that will challenge players to “Play Different” as they embark on a colourful journey across seven-themed stages on a quest to find a legendary ship and ultimately become the greatest pirate in the world!’ and from what we’ve seen of it, it looks just brilliant.
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure allows players to truly interact with the world around them thanks to the innovative Wii Remote. Players can move and open objects, transform items and unlock new paths all with simple tactile movements of their remote. The Wii Remote will be used in a variety of ways including turning keys, rotating handles and even playing a piccolo as players strive to solve more and more difficult puzzles they encounter. In total there are over 80 different objects that can be manipulated in the game.
The adventure features a range of locations for players to explore from lush jungle to barren frozen ice temples. With seven large stages and over 20 sub-stages to master, Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure is not for the faint hearted. There are more than 500 items to collect and 35 types of enemy to outwit, meaning this game will provide 30 - 40 hours of mind-bending puzzle solving adventure.
Also noted in the press release is that Ace Attorney Apollo Justice on Nintendo DS will also be distributed in Europe by NoE. More details on the game will be available soon. We’ll keep you posted.
